CV Boot - What is the typical cost of the cv boot parts & labour from a garage?

Anybody had the boot and CV joint replaced if so whats the typical cost, mine will need doing sometime in the near future as Iv noticed the end of it is letting a little grease out.

Front left cost me £80 to replace. The other side is going now... :'(

Was that just for replacement of the boot or including the CV joint?

If it's only the end leaking and not a split in the boot you can just replace the jubilee clips on each end - about £6 for all 4 of them.

Taking a closer look the boot is not actually torn, where the small clip goes onto the end of the rubber to keep it sealed has come apart from the rest of the boot so the boot end is ripped at the end, the clip is in the way of the boot so its not letting much grease out. A work mate has advised if I clean up the grease and apply some duct tape around the rubber end it will stop any dirt or water getting into the joint as a temporary measure until I can get it booked into a garage.

Do any of you reckon it will work for a week or two?

Either way it needs a new cv boot.

ive been quoted 80-90 for my left cv boot and fitting of cupra wishbone bushes,! id say about 30 of that is for the boot.
