Retro fitting folding rear seats?

Featured Replies

Hi

I have a 52 reg Superb (Comfort, 130 TDi), and the lack of folding back seats really irritates me. Rather than change the car, can i simply change the rear seats? If so, what do I need, and how do I do it?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Duncan

No (or not without much work) as there is a welded in rear bulkhead behind the fixed seats.

Damn.

how much is a 2002 Superb Comfort TDi130 with 148,000 miles on it worth? Not much I suspect.

You are probably right! (bear in mind those prices are for a trade in)

The folding rear seats in the Superb do not fold flat however (as the seat base still does not lift up) so although they are better than nothing, their use is still limited.

Makes all the difference between getting a bike (amongst other things) in the car and not...

Ah well. Will have to see if I can get a bike rack that will let me keep the wheels on and doesn't require a lighting board.
