fabia 1.2HTP exhaust fault light on

Featured Replies

Hello to everyone.

i have a problem with my skoda fabia 1.2HTP 2004 model. when i arrived home from a daywork, as soon as i parked the car the idle speed started to rise and go back to normal several times and the exhaust warning light came on. the idling speed then returned to normal. i switched it off and started again, but all seemed to work fine. no strange noises but the warning light was still on. i parked the car in the garage, and all seemed to work fine the car acted normally. but the exhaust warning light is still on everytime i start the engine.

any idea of what might be tha problem? lamba sensor maybe? or EGR?

ANY IDEAS?

You need to get the codes read by someone with VCDS, then that will give you a starting point to start looking for the fault. Where abouts are you based?
