My Fmic

Featured Replies

Ok, so I got my FMIC installed. It's not pretty but it works. The shops here just don't have the machine to bend pipes properly, so for now I'm stuck with these.

I think I'll be modifying the 2" pipe since it's too restrictive and has too many bends. The install took around 5 hours at a local exhaust shop. Total cost was USD650 including labor (USD50).

More pics here.

Looks good, any problems getting the bumper back on afterwards? looks like the lower pipe would be close to the bottom.

Yeah, it's close, but not that close. You'd be surprised how much space we have down there. Also the 2" pipe is a tight fit with the metal bumper, but it works. I don't recommend anybody to go with 2" piping though. 2.5" is ideal and 2.25" is probably the best since the bend to the inlet pipe (top one) is quite tight. The alternative is to get a taller but thinner core and do all the piping in 2.5".
