need to be careful - you may find some bubbling paint under there......

They look good without them but the paint normally aint great under them.

And they do help stop door dings !

Only low down, most of the time they happen further up where rear doors smack into them.

Me personally I'll be keeping them on.

I'd keep them on due to potential paint issues

On a black vRS, they barely show, so deffo keep them on.

I'm not touching them on my SE due to the potential paint issues and the fact that I'm sure it'll suffer a car park dent on the same day that the strips were removed!

Some people have had the paint issues fixed under the warranty, as it tends to bubble up from underneath, rather than rust. Not all have succeed though I think.

Could always colour code them?

Mines's on a 56 plate and has bubbling under the side strips. Personally i'd leave them on, maybe try colour coding them?

as above, you could take them off and replace with new mouldings if the paint is bad underneath but that could be an expensive error!

Did mine as soon as I bought it from new looks much better in my opinion, cleaner look and the black doesn't look right on silver
