First oil change?

Featured Replies

Have ordered a new fabia combi 1.2 tsi dsg..

What is recomanded 1`st oil-change? after 1500km perhaps? and is skoda delivering a bottle of oil like vw do with the new touran I have at work? (refilling oil).

Someone told me that I shuld change oil after 1500km becouse a new engine could makes some metal spoon in the oil that can destroy the engine..

and.. first 1500km shuld be run at Normal drive only. NOT in S-mode.. correct?

Hi,

my wife's Fabia 1.2TSI (85) was set at the factory for servicing at 10,000 miles or 1 year whichever came first. Not keen on variable service myself so I also have our Yeti serviced every 10,000 miles even though it was factory set on variable.

Regards,

TP

Skoda recommends first oil and filter change in 1500 km but it is not necessary and you will keep warranty even if you do not do it, so it is in my country. Greetings

Nothing required in the UK until 10k or a year.

Didnt knew skoda recommends it..

Think I will change the oil and filter after 1500km. the warranty is 3 years but I am going to have this car longer then that..

the same with the dsg.. not use the s-mode the first 1500km I think.. (to drive in the engine properly)..
