Coilover fitting at a dealership?

Featured Replies

Been looking at places to get my coilovers fitted; for some reason I thought to ask the local Skoda dealership.

Labour charges only (supplied parts) they've quoted me £211 inc VAT to fit the coilovers plus both the front and rear powerflex front wishbone bushes. No alignment though, as they don't have the equipment.

This seems rather cheap to me? They did ask if the parts were direct replacements or if any modifications would be needed to fit them, which does make me think they've not done anything like it before. But I can't imagine it being an issue for a Skoda mechanic?

Would fitting these parts take any longer than fitting new standard parts labour-wise? As I'm assuming that's what they're estimating with?

They should have no problems fitting them. Probably working out a decent price as they'll be taking part of the front suspension of to do the bushes.
