Skoda UK helpline

I sent an email to Skoda UK last week complaining that the online configurator now says you can't have a heated windscreen with diesel engines (!) and that my Yeti has lost its build week (from 48 to nothing!). Today I received a phone call frrom an exceptionally polite (true - this is not me in sarcastic mode) young man called Liam who told me not to worry about my heated windscreen since he had checked my order and it is still there, and that the configurator 'is to give an impression only'; moreover, he said that 'I shouldn't pay any attention to build week numbers' until the actual build is confirmed approximately two weeks before it happens. 'Take no notice of it', he said and just keep phoning your dealer for updates.

So, all in all, top marks for getting back to me in person and for the detail and politeness of the phone call (he also said he would talk to someone who is supposed to ensure the configurator is accurate and that he had made my dealer aware of my concerns) BUT all Liam was really saying is that any information Skoda UK give out is essentially useless and/or unreliable!

I also emailed Skoda Customer Services yesterday having been given an Order Number by the dealer and a build week for my Yeti that, frankly, seemed optimistic (week 46 for an order placed on 6th October). They say that if it seems too good to be true it probably is, hence my email seeking confirmation. The response was very quick: the order number I had been given for my Yeti was confirmed as a 'white Octavia Vrs DSG'. Gremlins in the system? I now await an explanation from the dealer!

I have emailed Skoda France - the email address on their 'contact' page is defunct, and emails sent to it bounce back!

I have emailed the factory on the info line in Czechoslovakia - no answer yet ... What is it? Erm ... eleven days. Not even an acknowledgement so far. :(

EDIT: Received an email from Skoda Czechoslovakia this morning... only twelve days to respond... well, it's better than Skoda France who are apparently without an email address!
