Lidl Screenwash

Featured Replies

As it says on the 5l pack, suitable for fan wash nozzles. And goes down to lower temperatures than Halfords when diluted in the same ratio. And a decent price IIRC.

Good call. Was going in there for cat food anyway.

Is it on now?

Was there last weekend. I'm thinking of getting more as I'd to use my washers frequently last night in the rain. A horrible greasy film kept forming on the windscreen.

It sounds like a bargain, but the VAG screenwash seems to clear the grease quite well, so are you saying that this screenwash is not managing to do this?

Screen cleared on washing , but in following, and being passed by other traffic, the film reformed after a few minutes. A vile trip home.

Sounds like you had oil or diesel on your screen, sprayed up from a spill on the road maybe?

With the headlight washers kicking in occasionally, I reckon I got through about 3l on my 24 mile commute. I've no doubt it was fuel on the road. Damn diesels!

Another thought-tyre or bumper dressing sprays or aerosols make a right mess if they blow across your windscreen when applying them. They usually contain silicone & are very difficult to shift, too.

I tend to brush on tyre dressing with a paint brush kept just for that job!
