Is the new Octy any longer than the old one ?

With my current vRS I can just close the garage door with the car in, with the front bumper almost touching the shelving unit that holds all my tools, camping and bike bits etc. Needless to say there's a plank of wood nailed into the floor that I use as a stop marker, and lots of padding on the walls.

If the new one is even 10mm longer it just won't fit !

(I know, I can't be bothered looking for all the tech. specs on the internet, so shoot me !)

Both longer and wider.

The old one's 4507mm long and 1731mm wide. So the new one's 65mm longer. I reckon it might just fit - I have about 28mm to spare :eek:

I know it is well out of order to hi-jack other people's threads but ,please tell me, how wide is the new Octavia INCLUDING the wing mirrors ?
