Bought a cheap cable off ebay just too read fault codes etc. Now I plug it in and do the test and all works fine, comes up that it can find the interface and its working throught port 3, and then I save the settings.

but then when I goto read the faults, it doesnt communicate with the car and wont read anything. Starting to get on my nerves now.

Any help would be great.
