Hello to all from the east of Scotland.

I took delivery of my new Yeti ,black magic pearl 4 x4 1.8 TSI about 3 weeks ago and have already covered about 750 miles.

I like my SM very much but I am still adjusting to it. It feels very different to the Passat TDI estate and the Megane estate

which I have been driving recently.

The ride is harder than i would have liked but there are these large 17" wheels. It is an Elegance spec so the amount and complexity

of the boys` toys is formidable.

I bought online and saved about £2500 ( perhaps the subject of a future poll- buying online versus from the dealer.).

The deal went smoothly but a by product is that I do not really have a relationship with my nearest dealer who is about

50 miles from where I live.

The dealer PDI`d the car and kept it clean while it lay on his forecourt awaiting collection. The handover was perfunctory

in the extreme and took only a few minutes. I asked a question about the protective film for the rear wheelarches but my enquiry

brought only a shrug in reply. The salesman who admitted that he was new, said that he knew nothing about it.

I got the impression that they were not interested in my future business. !

Well I hope we can make you feel more welcome than the dealer did
