Malfunction cylinder

I have a Fabia HTP 1.2 65c 12v year 2005 in Portugal . Diagnostic Cylinder 1 malfunction (motor led on) . It has 46000km. So I don't have a job by now and I need a car to find one but I don't have money for SKODA open the engine and do the job. I never saw this happened on all the cars I had in pass. I had always FIAT and the last one FIAT UNO motor fire I had for 18 years (great car). Could someone help me find a solution ? I thought give the end of it and receive some money back or perhaps : how much money a shop could give to me , for me to buy one in second hand?. Please give me a solution if someone could :( Can someone tell me where is the problem ? (motor head, injector, ....)

P.S. No more city cars skoda VW or similars. City cars are better the old ones like fiat uno fire 1000 or renault 5
