Had a feeling thats what it was about, its normally only relocated at the front of the engine on KO4 turbo equipped cars, eg: Golf Gti ED30, Leon Cupra, Audi S3..................as to why, no idea!

I know IbizaAlex has relocated his DV in preparation for his K04 swap - you could ask him.

To keep it away from the hot turbo...the rubber diaphragm on the OEM DV fails quicker when hot so keeping it at the front is better for it.
