Please help Alarm Siren

Featured Replies

HI there,

I hope someone might be able to shed some light on this. I recently bought a 2006 2.0TDI Octavia Elegance Estate, the turbo started playing up and sending the car in to limp mode ever time i got near national speed limits!!

So i wil cut to the point, i have got the car back and it has had the turbo overhauled. Since its return the chirp to confirm locking the car no longer works and if you set the alarm off you only get the hazard lights and no siren.

I would take it back but if anyone could just tell me where i might find the siren it could be a simple case of plugging the lead back in.

Thanks

Tim

lock the car with you inside, if the siren goes off the siren is ok ,and the chirp can be reset by vag - com

Edit the siren is in a box under drivers wing behind the wheel arch lining

I had the siren/horn replaced on my FL Vrs last week. The hazards only went off when I sat inside. All done under warranty but it required wheel arch liner removing as bluvrs has stated.

More than likely a faulty siren.
