I'm very possibly about to go put a deposit on a new Octavia (1.4 Tsi Elegance, to those interested) but have a quick question.

The NO VAT (ie 17.5% automatic discount) that is on offer at the moment has been applied to the vehicle price only - not the extras (metallic paint etc). Is this what they do? Or could the discount apply to the whole lot?

Wondering whether I ought to try to wangle a bit more off.. :yes:

I have ordered vRS with 17.5% off, and what you do is specify model & options, they will take each item & reduce by 17.5%, then add it all together to give you the final price.

Yes - It's 17.5% off everything - inc extras. And you could still push for a bit more - I just ordered a vRS with quite a few options, and managed to get them to give me the Xenons (£700+) free - as they weren't budging on their offer for my p/x
