Hi everyone!

Featured Replies

I am writing my first post on this forum as a fresh owner of a second hand 2007-made Skoda Superb 2.0 TDI 140HP. I love the car, but I still need to solve a few issues with it.

The most puzzling issue is that the fuel consumption is quite higher than normal. When running idle (with a warm engine, air conditioning off and no extra electrical devices on), the maxidot displays 0.9 liters pe hour, as opposed to 0.5 liters per hour displayed by other Superbs with the same engine. When driving on a flat (horizontal) road with a constant speed of 50km/h in the third gear it shows more than 8 liters / 100km and when driving another Superb with the same engine under the same conditions it displays something between 5.2 and 5.8 liters / 100km. I would be grateful if somebody could point me to a list of possible causes or to some relevant threads on the forum (which I didn't find by myself, as a newbie).

I'm glad to be a member of the Briskoda community - it looks like a great resource for Skoda owners and it's a pity that there are so few Superbs on the roads because I still believe it's a great car.

Thanks in advance,

Wolfix
