I bought a 57-reg MkII Fabia 3 just under a year ago. It was approved used and came from a main Skoda dealer.

They extended the warranty through until the end of this year, as it would originally have expired in October.

They serviced the car once I'd paid my deposit, and thus it's due to be done again in a few weeks.

Now, Platinum Skoda is all the way up in Bath. That's the best part of an hour's journey each way.

There's a good independent garage almost literally at the bottom of my drive. See where I'm coming from?

What are my obligations in this respect in order to preserve the warranty until the New Year?

As long as your garage is VAT registered and use say Skoda/VAG Parts then I can't see there being a issue with the warrenty.

is it due an mot if so go to skoda before warranty runs out have it mot,d if it fails you can get it passed under warranty (my mate done the same failed due to rubber bush fixed under warranty)
