Say i had a Golf mk6 flat bottomed steering wheel, would it fit?.

Its to my understanding that its identical fitment with same airbag system and all buttons would work after a vag-com setup.

Or does anybody know different?.

I know of people that have fitted flat bottomed Audi RS6 steering wheels to their Audi A2s. So yes I suspect it can work but you do need to alter things with the vag-com laptop. And that might be a tricky and/or dark area until someone actually does it. Just remember that when an airbag deploys the cover (and thus the badge) is carefully designed to stay behind and not fly into your face. So you will be stuck with a VW badge in a Skoda car. I would not recommend you sticking a Skoda badge over the VW one.
