Budget building Fabia

Featured Replies

Right, I`v had my Fabia for a while, and done a little total of the things I`v done and how much they have cost. I`v been a bit of a bargain hunter, the total opposite to my mate who has expensive taste. So here is a bit of a run down of what cost what. . . . .

Wheels and suspension & brakes;

S3 Avus wheels with new tyres £330

Eibach Coilovers (used 6k on them) £250/£100 fitting

312mm calipers, carriers, discs (used) and new pads from a octy vrs £175/£40 fitting

Performance mods;

Scorpion cat back £240 fitted

Sachs clutch (used) £300/£100 fitting

Hybrid/Remap/EGR delete/Fitting £1500

Seat Sport FMIC/Forge Pipes £480/£70 fitting

PD160 Intake £30

So, in total around £3000 in parts, and £500ish in labour. However, if you wanted to build a fast fabia on the cheap, the wheels are obviously not needed, nor is the exhaust. Meaning its possible to do it all for less than £3000 all in, or even less if your handy with your hands. When you consider how cheap fabia`s can be picked up for, and what can be done with one, they are pretty good "bang for buck" imo. B)

It's easyer if you know of someone who is selling one and see if they would strip it........ :p
