First problem...

Featured Replies

I have noticed today that when I turn the ignition off radio does not go off...to make the matter worse when I press the radio on/off button radio goes off but stays illumenated. Anyone knows what could be the problem? Is it possible that batery will be dead in the morning because of this?

Oh it sure will kill it. My Audi's Symphony II did exactly this and killed my car many, many times. I even replaced the radio for another Symphony and still the problem persisted. So good luck solving it.

Should turn off after an hour.

But then again you should be able to turn it off. I was able to turn my columbus off normally.

Hi mine only turns off when you remove the key.

you may have tried this but its just a thought

The radio only goes off when you take the key out.

Does the light go out when the interior light goes out after shutting the door?

Greg as I said mine on the Audi did just that. ALL the lights were on, no sound coming out and you can't switch off with the On/off switch. I had to resort to taking the radio fuse out every aingle time I parked the car. Drove me nuts. On the A2 forum they said it was a known problem BUT that is was with the electronics in the radio and no-one had found a way of solving it without getting a new radio alas. Not cost effective to open the radio. So take it to your dealer for a new radio.

Well...I took out the fuse today and put it back in and it works again. It think it only needed reseting...

Disconnect power.

Leave for 5 minutes.

Re-boot
