Featured Replies

Hi guys

first time I've ever posted on here, so please be kind! I'm the proud owner of a fabia vrs se after my impreza was written off by a drunk driver (poor thing looked like a t rex had tried getting a piggy back off it), any way, when the car was delivered I asked where the lockable wheel nut adapter was and was told it didn't need one, fair enough thought I, until tonight as I arrived to get my winter tyres fitted guess what! Yes flamin nora it needs the adapter and can I heck as like find it, HELP! It's due to snow on thursday, nooooo!

Ps if anyone can help sure one of you guys can!

its ment to be in the boot inside the spare wheel and jack comparment, but it could be anywhere now

Have you checked in the boot with the tool kit? Otherwise you could try your local dealer i guess? Although both mine and my other halfs locking nut adaptors fit each others :S Do you have anybody nearby with another vrs to try?

Only a few designs of nut I think anyway. Try the dealer, see if they have one you can borrow, or can sell you one based on your VIN.

Where are you based? Others might have one you can borrow for the day or something?

*Edit* Darn, beaten by Gaz!

cheers chaps, I'm near sunny Consett (near Durham), yes I've looked even had the spare wheel right out, feel like such a berk, I'm livid with the delivery guy, I asked and he said oh no it hasn't got them! aahhh!

I lost mine too. Went to dealers, they had boxes of them. The fabia`s box had a good few different ones in it, after 10 min of trying found the right one. They ordered one, and let me borrow the one out the box as i needed new brakes.

Don't trust anyone like that, they don't give a **** and just want to leave as quickly as possible unfortunately. :(

Over 4 hours from me - sorry!

There are 20 possible keys for the locking wheel nuts and there aren't recorded to car so chassis number won't help.

I had this problem and after checking the tool box I thought I hadn't got one. Went to the dealers to buy another and he asked for the wrench thing out of the tool box and I found the wheel nut key. Moral of the story is - have another look and be sure you see a space where the key should be if you cant find it as it probably is in there somewhere...

Good luck!

hey you lot are certainly the a team! I'm off for another check but as the covers are missing from the front wheel nuts just on one tyre I reckon the flamin things are in the garage workshop where I bought it from. Cheers again you're a fountain of knowledge!
