Please if you're giving information make sure it's reasonably correct. The Symphony radio/CD - assuming that's what's fitted in this case - doesn't even have a "TA" button!

You need to make sure before switching to the CD that the radio channel the set's tuned into isn't set to traffic announcements. If it's showing "TP" in the bottom left corner, hit the "A/F" button until it shows "FM1" or "FM2", then switch to the CD. Or you can switch the radio to AM by hitting the "A/F" button and holding it down.

The manual states:

If you do not wish to receive any traffic report, listen to the program

you wish in one of the FM ranges: FM 1 or FM 2.

well sorrrry!

TA TP, knew it was something like that... many a moon has passed since I had the Fabia...

PS please dont be so arrogant with your responses. It just bugs people. Advice was asked for and I wanted to help if possible. If nothing else it was a bump for their query.

After all we all make mistakes!

It is better to be arrogant than inaccurate!

Furthermore, please note in respect of the posting to which you refer I realised as soon as I'd posted the answer you've highlighted that I'd misinterpreted the question and thus immediately deleted my response (which related to the "FABIA" badge not the "SKODA" one). I see nothing to criticise in that action and in any case the response wasn't actually wrong; it was merely referring to a different component and thus was not relevant to the query.

Poor grammar. Whatever next...?

People will forgive inaccuracy much quicker than they would arrogance.

Not if it leads them down dead ends or even worse!!!

I was emphasising by that statement that I wasn't changing what I originally said, merely correcting the English. there's nothing wrong with that!

Capital letter follows a full stop. tsk tsk :)

I'm glad you spotted the deliberate mistake falling into my trap - now let's stop this off topic nonsense!
