Newbie here just wondering if some could tell if golf mk4 R32 brakes would fit onto a fabia ive got 18" bbs ch so fit under them obv but its more the carriers

I crapped myself at the price of relativgely budget discs for the brembos so dread to think what the 345mm ones cost.

On a related topic, what are the best rear brakes to upgrade to? Am I right in thinking I need to go for something from a 2wd. I'm assuming 256s from a golf but are there any other platforms that swapstraight across?

Octavia brakes are straight swap.

All bolt staright on, you just need to either trim or remove the heatsheild to clear the bigger disc.

Be warned though you can develop the brake mooing that troubles the donor cars where the brakes are noisy when reversing. The only way I know to cure it 100% is to fit the brake balance kit to the rear which is another 100quid. I havent bothered on my Ibiza but did on the Fabia.

Haven't noticed the moo'ing on the octy vRS brakes I have. (yet....)

Sometimes, having a loud engine/exhaust can help to drown out other sounds

So rear brakes off a golf v5, bora v5, lcr or octavia vrs will fit straight on the back of a fabia vrs?

Nope, Octavia vRS came with same rear brakes and 16" wheels plus I had 256mm and steels on my estate.

14" steels? I was told they wouldn't fit so I have ditched my 14s and got a pair of 16" ones now.
