Heated Seats

Featured Replies

How hard would it be to do?

Say i could go to a scrapyard and find all the parts, now hard would you say it would be?

Not really that hard, all they need is a live, neutral and a switch. all depends if you had the heat setting etc. oh and a fuse lol

I want to do it as my seats are freezing in the mornings

Well i thought if i can find a scrappy fabia with all the kit in i can rip it out, fit all the lekkys, and when i get the cash for seat surgeons get them to install the elements while they retrim

Be interested to see where you get with this - the Polo people seem to think it's quite a job.

Hope you get it working though.

Me too. One thing I miss about the Elegance is the heated seats :)

When I had my 2004vRS retrimmed the garage investigated but said it couldn't be done without changing the seats - not sure whether that was true or not.

I love my heated seats

Not sure how easy but you'll need both switches plus the heated elements for the seats.

My dealer told me the seats were different - mine didn't have the channels to insert the wires into - they weren't pads as I expected. How true that is I don't know since I didn't actually see the seats naked. Hence my comment that new seats would be required.

Not sure myself. Their was a thread on here years ago that showed how to replace the heated seat part of the seats.

I think it may be possible with After market pads, and then the oem switches.

Someone posted on one of those links that SS will pop the pads in FOC
