vRS Fault code (solved)

Featured Replies

Having no end of trouble with this car! Basically the management light has recently come on, and it's not boosting. Checked boost hoses, all still connected as far as I can tell, no hissing etc. Could this be a faulty sensor? Or is it going to be a split hose?

That makes me think sensor, but haven't heard of one going before, or it causing the car to not boost.

Thanks!

I'd check connections to MAP sensor and vacuum block are ok, then replace MAP sensor and see if that gets it?

Just a thought though so willing to be wrong though if someone knows better...

Sounds like good advice, which bit is the vacuum block?

Where does the MAP sensor live do you know?

Vac block is the box thing with all the vac lines running from it on top of your off-side strut mount; I only suggested this as once I failed to reconnect it properly and had zero boost until I realised what I had done.

The MAP sensor lives on the cold side of the intercooler.

Cheers mate!

Changed the MAP sensor today, it appears to have solved the problem, though the car was very unwilling to erase the fault codes, took 3 tries to get it out of limp mode! Solved now though :)

Thankyou all!

Glad to hear it!

(check me out with my good advice... B) )
