Washer warning light?

Featured Replies

Hey everyone,

When I turn the key on my '07 VRS and the dashboard lights come on, there appears to be a picture of a windscreen washer -presumably a warning light to tell you when the wash bottle is getting low/empty. However, on several occasions now I have run out of water in the washbottle & the light hasn't come on. I can't ever remember it coming on in the 5 or so months that I've owned the car.

Just wondering if anyone has had experience of having this repaired/replaced and a rough idea of the cost. Is it something that you can do yourself, or do you need to take it to Skoda.

Hope someone out there can help. . .

Would suggest the level sensor on the side of the bottle has packed up. Not heard of one dying before to be honest. I would think that vagcom would confirm it cannot "find" the level sensor which would mean it needs replacing.

Take a look at the connector for the sensor. These often get splashed with screenwash and can corrode
