Hello! Im Dave, this is my first post! I found this site because im having trouble with my skoda. I bought a skoda fabia last week My new car only has a radio and casette player in it :(. I bought a casette adapter but it doesnt work!!! I tried it in my brothers car and it worked fine so its not the adapter itself. Is this a common fabia problem? How do i get around this without spending too much money?

I presume the tape deck is knackered. A new head unit is probably the way forward.

It plays normal tapes though

It's a long time since I've used a Skoda cassette head unit, but IIRC it can play both sides without having to flip the tape over.

The adapter will only work in one direction. There are two buttons (FFWD, RWD) immediately to the right of the slot. Press them both together to reverse the direction of play.
