Hi all me and a few friends are sad enough to be addicted to playing generals at the mo, but we are starting to find it getting old, this has happened before but we found the shockwave mod which shaked things up again,we all play LAN so we are after a stable mod not something that is going to crash every 30 secs or the famous mismatching problems! Any general vets got links or suggestions to tryed and tested mods many thanks.

The Allstars mod is not bad, there are loads of mods on moddb and cncgeneralsworld

I wouldn't say anyone playing Generals is sad! Although it has a reputation for not being a proper C&C game I think it's one of the best in the series alongside Red Alert 2 and spent many good hours playing it. After getting sick to the back teeth of Red Alert 3's stupid 'have to be online' for co-op LAN play I'd quite fancy giving Generals another go so would be interested to hear if you find any good mods you'd recommend.

Great game - shame about the network code being so buggy, quite often find it dies with network errors when playing 4 people against 4 bots.

If anyone knows how to fix this - would really appreciate it.
