Hi all,

I'll soon be moving away from my trusted local indy here in London.

Mrs Grrs SDI needs a service but it's in Bristol most of the time these days.

I know theres a main dealer in Bristol (Blades I think) but I don't want to pay through the

nose for a service so I'd love any recommendations for independent garages in the area.

I've had nothing but good service from these folks: Streetwise Automotive

Started off with MOT/faulty CAT diagnosis etc a year ago and they've just fitted a SACHS clutch and replaced the cam belt/water pump.

She only has the basic SDI so it shouldn't be anything too technical needing doing.

I'll give this place a go. See what sort of job they make of the SDI before I let 'em loose on my car

I have heard a lot of good reports about Streetwise, I use Blades the main dealer and have had good service from them. Avoid C and R at Long Ashton !!!

Yup that was my tactic. £35 for an MOT too, fantastic.

Agreed on C&R - the reviews in the dealer section tend to agree too. Mixture of experiences with Blade - first service and parts bloke excellent, 2nd (oil only) service took nearly 2 hours while I waited in the showroom getting later and later for work

do all my own but have been down to street wise and omg how clean is it in there lol

Booked mine into Streetwise for a few things before Christmas. Very impressed with Mitch- quick replies via email & remembered who I was etc when I phoned to book in. Let's hope the quality of service is as good. Sure it will be!

Had the work done today- very impressed! A very professional outfit. Work seems to have been carried out to a high standard- car feels so much better now the worn bushes have been replaced.. Had R32 wishbone bushes + standard droplinks, wheel alignment, rear discs & pads + brake fluid service. Got a text at lunchtime to say the car was ready for collection. Very competatively priced too

Took SWMBO's Honda Jazz in there a week ago for service and MOT (free MOT with service - great deal).

Cut a long, boring and expensive story short, also had 3 new tyres and all locking wheel nuts cut off and replaced with a normal set.

Fantastic service throughout - continue to be impressed, really glad they're so near!
