1.2TSi First Service - How Much?

Featured Replies

I've just spoken to my local Skoda dealer and they've quoted me £125 (fixed) or £185 (variable) for the Yeti's first service (10,000 miles).

Does this sound resonable? Do Skoda have a fixed price policy or is it worth shopping around?

It doesn't sound too bad but it's worth shopping around. Of course if you are in the EU at least you don't have to use a Skoda dealer for your service. You just need someone to complete the service to the standard Skoda sets and use genuine Skoda parts. This will preserve your warranty. You might miss out on any software updates though if the people you use don't have access to the Skoda updates and the right hardware to apply them.

Hi where about are you? When I took my Yeti for some warranty work with Pulman, they quoted me £85 with VAT!

that's fixed 10,000 miles service by the way

Just be mindful the third year of warranty is not Skoda UK but provided by the dealer network - this is not covered if any services are outside of an approved Skoda service dealer; this bit does not contravene EU law.

£185 for variable service sounds good to me!

Sounds very reasonable.

My next door neighbour has a Smart and he pays more than that.
