Does the Bolero have Bluetooth?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I just picked up my vRS LE at the weekend and I'm loving it so far. One thing I've not been able to figure out is what the Bolero's Bluetooth capabilities are. I believe it will act the same as a headset would for making and receiving phone calls. Is this correct? If not, what are it's Bluetooth capabilities if any?

Thanks for any help,

Dan

Not built in by default - you should be able to get an external bluetooth module from Skoda although they are expensive.

The phone button would just link to the bluetooth, I believe, and allow you to control (dial, answer, etc) via the BT module.

I have the 'Skoda' Bluetooth option, the one that fits in the sunglass holder in the roof.. Unfortunatly it dosn't work with the Bolero system! i.e dosnt display callers/numbers etc as other systems seem to do, unless i've just not set it up correctly? it does mute the radio/cd though.

That's the cheaper of their bluetooth options. There's also a fully integrated option which is normally installed under the seat and integrates fully with the Bolero and Maxidot.

Fiscon also do a similar kit which is slightly more featured and more compatible than the older Skoda bluetooth options.

That clears that up, thanks for that. I was reading the manual for the Bolero last night and couldn't get the Phone button to do as it says in the manual!

I know that they're expensive, either OEM or Fiscon, so I shall have to wait for a bit to save up some pennies. Not 100% sure I need it, but a nice to have I guess.

if you want to save a few £££ try a Bury or Parrot unit.

I fitted a Parrot MKi9200 to my 2001 A3 last year and my vRS came with a Bury CC9060 fitted, I can recommend both.

I would second the Bury system. Simply the best aftermarket bluetooth system I have seen. Great functionality and usability.

It came as standard on my new Octavia vRS.

Show s caller info etc.

I too thought it was not fitted when I got the car until I realized I had to "pair" it with my phone via the "Stalk" with maxidot.

Looking at the Irish brochures it would seem that BT is standard on most of the trim-levels over there. Thanks SUK...

How did you pair your phone via the stalk vectra1?

Anyone know the part numbers to integrate bluetooth into the Bolero?

I had a parrot in my previous car and i now have the fiscon in my vrs (working via the bolero).

fiscon is a massive improvement over the parrot IMO.

It's also around 3x the price ;)

From what I remember it's actually a Parrot chip inside the Fiscon, just wired up so that it'll interface with the Bolero, maxidot etc as well. Must admit having installed the Fiscon I could never go back to an unintegrated solution. Partially because it works so well, and partially because my knuckles couldn't afford to lose any more skin after trying to force the Fiscon connector cable behind the Bolero!!!
