Second hand AmD OneClick

Featured Replies

Hi, any idea if I buy a second hand AmD OneClick remap box, which was used on a Fabia VRS before.

Will it work straight away on my Fabia VRS?

Some have said the box will only work on one car

if so what do I have to do to it? reload the map? who and how much will it cost??

AFAIK you will need to flash your std map onto the unit and then send it to AmD who will send it back complete with a remap and your original. Don't know why you can't use the vRS remap that is already on there but presume it is some sort of copyright protection thing to stop one person buying a map and giving it to all their mates. The price and instructions will be on their website, don't overpay for the one click afaik there is not such a massive premium for them providing a new one.

It's locked to a cars ecu on first use. Unlike the more modern powergate device it cannot be moved to another car. You can contact AMD about having it reset but you may find it cheaper to just get a remap.

Oh thanks, I will call AmD to see if it worths the hassle?

What is "the more modern powergate device"?

The coding is specific to the car's ECU

I had one on my Fabia ....I bought it for 99p on eBay

I sent it to AmD who reset it, sent it back to me and then I down loaded my ECU to it...then sent back for the remap

It cost me £280...168 bhp and 286 lbs torque I think it was

I then had the ability to return the car to standard at anytime...A neat device

Wow 99p??

But £280 is a lot of money for me.... I thought it was much cheaper

I sold mine on ebay and got about £7 for it. The map in coded to the car so the device is no good without being re-flashed by AMD or I think Star use the same device?
