Wiper blade

Featured Replies

The recent thread about aero wipers triggered a thought.

Is it just me or does the blade on the passenger side have a distinct curve to it ?

with the ends curving upwards, along the plane of the window not away from it, if that makes any sense.

Hmm...not too sure - I replaced mine with standard wiper blades, and the power of the spring seems to bend it sufficiently.

Though that said, the far side of my windscreen where the curve would count is hidden by various tax discs and permits, so it might be missing that bit... :rubchin:

Sorry wrong plane ... I'll see if I can describe it bettter ... The blade appears curved in two directions ...

1) it curves with the contour of the screen to ensure that it is in contact the whole length of the blade (this curve I am used to)

2) it curves in a plane 90 degrees to (1) (this curve is new to me)

True, the passanger side blade curves up at each end as viewed from the front of the car. I have replaced mine with a standard 19" blade from PIAA and it works fine. BTW both PIAA blades have a FIN on them, is that the same as AERO blades?
