Hi everyone. Newbie

Featured Replies

I was trying to replace the rear wiper fuse today & before I came across this site I was simply removing a fuse & replacing it with another until the rear wipe starting working.

I managed to do this but now the airbag light is staying on? It is worth noting that the ignition was switched on while I was trying the fuses.

I have a 2003 Skoda Fabia 1.2http

Any ideas??

Thanks.

If you have pulled the airbag fuse out by mistake then it's a trip to a dealers or someone with VCDS to turn the light off again!

Hi and welcome aboard.

Gizmo,

Am I right in assuming that if the light is on then the airbag won't work?

Yes you are correct

Pardon my ignorance but if removing the airbag fuse (which one is it by the way) caused the light to come on can I not just reset it by doing something with the fuse?

Unfortunately not no, the only way to reset the light is with a diagnostic tool (VCDS etc).

I'm not sure what number fuse it is on a Fabia, but there should be a 'fuse card' showing what each locations does, this card is normally in the fuse cover, failing that there should be the same in the owners manual.

I've looked in the manual which lists the fuse numbers but there isn't any reference to the airbag??
