Question that will help me with work. We fit cars with mobile data units for Doctors, and we put Din Mount screens in as standard and remove/relocate the radio.

The Octy II classic will house this dinmount as its very basic, does anyone know if the ambiente has the same dash layout at the din area as the classic? I know the elegance has GPS and is a no no in terms of us mounting there

are you sure you can remove the stereo at all, on some new er model vag cars the stereo is an integral part of the car and can't be removed. an additional stereo must be installed

We have found the technical drawings for the bottom of the range one - classic and that can be removed. Also looking at the pics on the skud site seem to show a single din with a cubby hole below.

You should just be able to see it on those 2 (top classic, bottom ambiente)

ross might be able to help on this one. i've met a guy with a seat ibiza and he has had to fit a second H/U under the steering wheel cos the original one couldn't be removed
