falken 452's

Featured Replies

I've tried searching but no luck!

I've ran Falken 452's on the rear of my vrs for 20k with no problems, just replaced the fronts from some Goodyears to 452's 500 miles ago.

I'm finding in the snow and ice, ordinary driving, they are fine however any sort of slow speed driving in ice or snow they seem absolutely toss, traction control lights up and I get nowhere no matter how careful I am.

Could it be they are not quite worn in? Or has anybody had any problems themselves?

My 452's are ok arnt bad at all I get some spinning on acceleration but not if I'm gentle. Only got stuck in the snow twice and that was more due to splitter acting as a plough. Think I've got 3 or 4k on them.

Cheers for the reply, it's more with any sort of incline like getting onto the driveway I have to drive up an alleyway and it just scrabbles and won't get me up there.

I'm hoping it's just that the tyres aren't scrubbed in properly.

I had no problems on inclines, including the hill at work which a wrx needed pushing up lol

Only big thing i didn't like about them was braking, no matter how gentle i was the abs would come on, lernt to leave a massive gap and use the gears more.

I've how got my winter wheels sorted and on and i'm really surprized on the difference and just the safety aspect makes them worth the cash.

Cheers for the replys mate, sounds like mine need a few thousand miles putting on them!

I'd like a set of winter tyres but at the minute have nowhere to keep a spare set of wheels.

I've got 452's on my VRS, covered about 1500 miles on them with no issues at all.

Definately quieter than the worn to the wear-bars Conti's that they replaced.

No grip issues in the recent winter weather.

Had my 452's on for about 3500 miles, not been to bad in the snow, Conti sport3 i had on before were better at coping with hill's and snow, that's my opinion. Good tyre in the wet, quiet on motorway and seem to be wearing well.

Not had the 452 but previously ran 512s on my old RS2000 without an issue. Rated them very highly
