skoda octavia vrs dsl

Featured Replies

H can anyone please advise:,

I have a skoda octavia vrs dsl estate and have been having the odd problem over the past couple of days

was driving down the motorway when the engine cut out the main dash lights went out but had power to the radio and hazards, after pulling up on the hard shoulder i waited a couple of minuets and the car started again(this was after trying it a couple of times but there was nothing when turning the key). went out later that night just to see if it was ok and it happened three times again, had a test done and it showed no faults,it will start up sometimes if i unlock and lock the doors or even opening and closing the doors but don't know if this only coinsidence.

please can anybody advise

A bit more info on the age / specification of the car may get relevant responses

Sounds like a fuel supply issue, have you changed you're fuel filter?
