110 4x4 fuel economy

Featured Replies

We have 16,000 miles on our 110 4x4. . As we are very poor and quite old (mid fifties) we tend to drive for max MPG.

Thats Not Old Most of the owners on this site have got their bus passes!!!:giggle:

How old is your Yeti? Mine is December 2009 and I have done ONLY 15800 miles with some fast dual carriageway. Have you had your first service yet? i took mine in at 15000 as I could not stand the strain worrying about the condition of the oil.

Mid 50's IS NOT OLD!!!

When I got to 50 I warned the family I was going to start growing old DISGRACEFULLY from then on. Hope I've succeeded!!

And I'ver just told them what I want for my 60th birthday, so they can start saving now; a day learning to drive a tram at Crich. (http://www.tramway.co.uk/)

40; drove a steam engine for a day.

50; half day quad biking.

50 sat in a spitfire B)

60 Err......went to Scarborough in the snow. :D

I have it on good authority that when remapped the 110 will do a couple more miles the gallon

I don't care what the fuel economy is on my 170, I just enjoy the buzz I get when I step on the loud pedal. Hope I die before I get old, or the diesel/petrol runs out.

We got ours in July 2010. Now that you mention it the critter has not asked to be serviced yet.

I seem to be getting about 450 miles per tankful driving around London all the time. My maxidot would appear to be about 9% optimistic so I will alter it when I can find somebody locally with VCDS.

This is in approx 180 bhp CR140 4x4 DSG.

We have 16,000 miles on our 110 4x4. Very little motorway driving or town driving, mostly country roads. As we are very poor and quite old (mid fifties) we tend to drive for max MPG. To date over 16,000 miles we are getting 55.7MPG, the range is 51 to 62.5 MPG. The critter is very comfortable and provides a great view over the hedges, with the back seats out we can put a small coffee shop in the back. All in all in our we are delirously happy with the critter.

Hmm..well I am late fifties, enjoy loud rock music and drive my Caterham very briskly- if not as quickly as some older owners.Quite old is the term I apply to anybody more than 20 years older than I am . Suggest you take your Yeti out for a good run and see if you can get it to register 25mpg- the critter will enjoy it more than geriatric pootling- trust me !
