Guys, after searching the forum I have sorted a flip key, got it working with the remote locking and a new blade but, where can I get a new transponder for my '56 fab. It seems the guys on ebay only do up to 2005.

Could I ring the dealer and get a new one from them?

Hickleys are you best bet

It is worth phoning them to order to double check you are getting the correct one as there are loads of different ones available.

Dealers don't do the transponder on it's own, only as part of a new key for security reasons.

I was under the impression that the transponders were useless untill put into the ignition and then programmed to match your immobiliser?
