TV Picture Settings

Featured Replies

Where's the best place to find the best settings? I wouldn't mind fine tuning my BRAVIA's picture settings to get it perfect and with my parents new TV coming next week I wouldn't mind knowing the best settings for theirs too. Any ideas?

There is no definitive list for each TV as they all vary slightly, but if you look on AVForums there's some good guides on how to start

THX setup programmes usually on THX dvds eg Toy story. helps set up sound and picture.

AV forums :) I copied about three setting from folk on AV forums for my bravia as the out of the box settings were really pants and tried to see which is best...found one that worked a treat :)

www.hdtvtest.co.uk do very in depth reviews of tvs; you can get info on the best settings for various viewing situations.

+1 (or is that +2?!)

I got a brilliant set of service settings for our KDL40W2000 off there, tweaked using the Freeview testcard, if that's still available

Awesome! I didn't know that was there! That guide worked fine on the Freeview built into my BRAVIA. Time for a fiddle. Thanks!
