Engine occasionally "pulling"

Featured Replies

I have a 1.2 6v ( 2008). Recently, it has developed an occasional glitch - it starts straining when in 4th/5th and "slowing". It feels like I am rowing in a boat with someone having a bucket out the back to slow me down, even though I am putting in the same amount of effort. generally, if I drop down to third, it clears, but sometimes takes a while.

Any thoughts?

It has been to the dealer, but they say that they cannot find a fault of any kind.

Check your rear brakes are not binding - best to check when the problem occurs - check to see if the drums are stinking hot (they should be cold). On my sons Fabia I there is some problem with the auto adjusters that mean the brakes stick on when the brakes are applied.

Thanks for that - hadn't even thought of it being brake related - hadn't occured that it might be straight after braking, but it does happen when driving in 4th/5th. Will see if there is a pattern after braking.
