Exactly. It's counter to the the brand strategy and no-one will pay £40K for a performance Skoda. Heck, who'd pay £30K for a performance Skoda?

As an example, a Superb 3.6 is about as close as you can get to an A6 Quattro hatchback and who's buying that at 2/3rds the money? Almost no-one. Because if you can afford to run a 3.6l V6 4WD car you can afford the Audi and you're more than likely the sort of person who still tells Skoda jokes and doesn't realise the joke is on you.

I don't think he was having a go at the Superb, just that model , which is very good value at £27000, but the running costs will be high That is why all executive cars drop like a stone in value after 5 years, because if you can afford to run one, more likely you can afford a new one .:thumbup:
