Had my trial for a month now. Would like to carry it on for a year. Just seen that on microsoft its £39.99 and on play.com its £33.99. Which would be easiest to get?

How does this transfer onto my xbox live account? Still a bit of a newb with online

With the play.com one, last time I bought off there, you get posted the same sort of thing the sell in shops, which has a card with a code on it. Scratch the silver stuff off, input the code on xbox and [hopefully] away you go.

ah ok. I guess some of them are just codes though? If i bought a code one of the internet, where would i put this in on the xbox?

 There's a menu option for 'redeem code' - I think the quickest way is to hit the X button in the middle of the controller and then go left.

Always buy your membership and then enter the code. Microsoft will continue to debit your card year after year, and you'll have a hell of a job cancelling it.

When I got mine off play, it was about £25 for 13 months a couple of years ago, but I got emailed a code instead.

Then entered that in the same way as mentioned above - the redeem code thing. Game etc used to have 13 month special edition packs etc for Halo launches and so on - might be worth looking for.

You can also enter the code if you go to the www.xbox.com website and login as yourself.

Play have an offer at the moment for a couple of quid off, that also gets you a free Black Ops t-shirt if you're that way inclined
