Bucket seat subframes.....

Featured Replies

Whare can I get some?

I assume they are the same as Golf Mk4 and Audi A3 subframes?

I'm wanting to mount my Corbeau Pro2000 seat and TRS harnesses for track days and struggling to find any without going to an engineering company and asking them to build me some!

Also, where is it possible to mount the lap straps from the harnesses? Seat base, or are there any other options?

Cheers

Craig

what im doing is finding old seats mk4 platform from scrappy strip it down and fit seat to subframe that way you get the up down and forward backwars like oem and can be removed in seconds

So just a standard seat stripped down?

yes so the back removed seat foam taken off and the top section cut off you then weld 2 bars across it and hey presto oem seat bases for you bucket seat best of both worlds atlest you can then use the adjuster up and down and forward and backwards unlike fitted buckets that have no movement

Hmmm, the only problem I'd have with that is the height of the seat on side mounts on top of a standard base. Most aftermarket bases tent to sit lower

The Pro2000 is quite a tall seat so looking to keep it as low as possible

Try a MKI Audi A3 with Recaro seats some of them (if not all of them) have removable subframes
