hello guys need some help pls..have a octy mk1 1.9 tdi estate..problem is this...while driving when im on 4th gear for example running at 40mph and i slowed down and step on the gas again there is a vibration while its picking up speed then when its fast enough the vibration disappears ..always happens in the same case on any gear..any ideas much appreciated cheers..

It could be:-

1) a charactoristic of the dual mass flywheel (needs clutch and flywheel change, or preparedness to rev engine harder before changing up).

2) a broken exhaust centre mount (needs inspection under car to identify).

3) a mis-fitted undertray resonating.

4) a worn engine mount.

5) something I've not thought of.

But it's probably in 1 .. 3.
