VAG COM check in Fabia II VRS with paddle shifts

Featured Replies

Hi there!

I'm thinking about installing the steering-wheel with paddle shifts in my car (Fabia II 1.2 TSI DSG). This option wasn't available as an extra option when I bought the car but it's possible to do it in the VRS, so I think it would be possible.

Before buying any component (new steering, wires, electronic..), I would like to be sure that my ECU supports this new feature so.... I'll need somebody with an VRS to do a little check:

I would need to know what is the ECU reference (Address 09) for the VRS model with paddle shifts.

Could anybody check this with the vagcom, please? Mine is:

Address 09: Cent. Elect. (J519) Labels: 6R0-937-08x-09.clb

Part No SW: 6R7 937 087 F HW: 6R7 937 087 F

Component: PQ25 BCM H11 0017

Revision: -1------ Serial number: 1002424901

I think that if the ECU reference is the same in both models, I souldn't have any problems with the new instalation.

Any help will be welcome!!

Thanks in advance.

Hi

I think if you change the steering controller, steering wheel and loom it should work

Fabia doesnt have a steering controller like the Octavia II and Superb II does, not that advanced.

Ill have a look at come CFDs and see what connects to what.

Thanks for your answers.

I think you are right. The fabia doesn´t have a steering controller (module 16). It´s in to be an slave part of module 09, but I´m not sure.

Tech1e, I would be grateful if you could say me something about that.

Thanks in advance-

Thank you very much, Litti.

Your information has been very usefull. Nobody has told me it yet.

I have asked for a VRS steering wheel and I think I´ll receive it in a few days.

I hope not to ask you more new more questions but I can´t promise :-)

I´ll write here the end of the story.

Hi there.

Finally I have got my new steering-wheel installed and working well.

As Tech1e told us, Fabia doesn´t have a steering controller. It depends directly on module 09.

I had only to change one steering-whell for the new one with paddle shifts. It wasn´t necessary a new encoding. I already have a MFSW.

Thanks to everybody for your help, specially to Litti.

If anyone of you need additional information don´t hesitate to ask me for it
