Company wants to know data from a label of my car's ECU. Where can I find it? My car is V6 TDI 2007.

Under the wipers in a box on the left side of the engine bay as you look at the car from the front.

To get the lid off the ECU box you need to park the wipers vertically, then remove the small plug in the scuttle trim at the base of the screen near the driver's side wiper - it's quite hard to see.

You can then remove the main scuttle cover as you would for changing the pollen filter and the ECU box is visible above the pedals. One of the box cover screws lives under the plug you removed.

If VAG had the intelligence to use hex head fixings here, they would not have needed the plug. Check the double circuit relay in there for broken soldered joints.
