Car Covers - Octy Estate

Featured Replies

I fancy a car cover for my Vrs estate. In winter it will make getting the car ready in the morning faster. In summer it'll help preserve me polishing & waxing hard work :-)

Any pointers for tailored covers?

Had a look on fleabay and there's a few generic covers that should be big enough, wondering if anyone had come across anything better?

Sorry to be negative but a cover will absolutely trash your paint work!

How come?

I understand if its windy and the sheet is compounding the dust and dirt in to the paint work then that won't be good.

Generally when its icey there isn't much if any wind so it shouldn't do any harm?

Unless the car has just been detailed there will always be some contaminant on the bodywork, and even in no wind the simple act of fitting and removing a cover is like dragging 1500 grit wet n dry over it!

Pay a visit to detailing world and pose the question "to cover or not to cover"? I think I know the response. :giggle:

Ah OK,

I guess the guys on "detailing world" take the condition of their paintwork a little more seriously than me then :giggle:

Yes we do! :p :giggle:

have to agree with that one I've used one on the fabia whilst I wasn't using it during the week (after kids chucked stones at it) have to say, it does not do the paint work any favours.
