Sorry, have to disagree - If BorgWarner are going to stop or replace Haldex with their system.

( that is a big IF, given the success of the Haldex system (VAG, LandRover, etc, etc))

BorgWarner system is far cruder than the Haldex system.

I bet they've bought it to give them access to the technology.

I wonder if this will affect the VAG and haldex next gen. development program that was targeted for 2011/12?

Exactly as Lee says. There must be a reason they've bought them! It's so they can start using the technology for their own products.

Personally, I think that programme will be unaffected as it must be well underway if those are the target dates. It's likely to cost them more money overall if they stop it at this stage.
